Top Tech Award helps sustain Accsys’ dominance within innovation and people market
Management at Accsys, a national supplier of payroll, HR, Time & Attendance and Access Control solutions, has added more silverware to the company’s trophy cabinet having recently received the Technology Top 100 2009 Minister’s Award for Sustainability.
The Technology’s Top 100 Awards is an annual event, hosted by the Department of Science and Technology, in association with Eskom, and forming part of the Technology Top 100 Programme, a division of Da Vinci.
The programme is established to recognise and reward achievement within the burgeoning area of technology solution development and application in business. It also serves to highlight individual and company achievement in the management of the many levels of modern day business operation.
The Sustainability Award is presented to companies that consistently and progressively demonstrate a unique ability to manage core elements of the business, including technology, innovation, people and systems.
Accsys emerged as the winner in a full category of competitors that included Allied Technologies Limited, Bell Equipment Company South Africa (Pty) Ltd., Hazleton Pumps (SA) (Pty) Ltd.
On 28 April Teryl Schroenn, CEO at Accsys, received the award in recognition of the company’s ongoing system development and solution integration, service and support in the field of HR, payroll administration, time and attendance, as well as access control.
Deirdre Marcus, Executive Director, Da Vinci Holdings and TT100 (Pty) Ltd., said Accsys has demonstrated consistency in growth and has proven that focus, service and dedication leads to success.
"Their journey is one of constant innovation and amazing organic growth. This is a classic example of an organisation that has focused on its core competencies, and built a suite of offerings which has placed it in the forefront of people management systems. To the Accsys team, who through their competence have enabled their customer base to become world class, we congratulate you on your ongoing achievements".
Accsys also continues to receive acclaim within the broader commercial market for its contribution to skills development and recruitment, in particular ongoing positive feedback from its market over the success of its recruitment division, Accsys PeoplePlace, and its eLearning and internship programs.
Teryl Schroenn concludes “We are honoured to have received this award. It is truly meaningful recognition by industry, as well as at government level, of the company’s advancements and contribution. The intrinsic value within growth, specifically within the pressurised and volatile state of economies around the world, cannot be underestimated. We believe that to be identified and recognised for sustainability and progress today is a strong commendation as well as a driver to ensure that we continue to deserve this recognition in the future.”
