Accsys, neaMetrics stay ahead of the times with latest biometric solution
The company has partnered with neaMetrics, developer of the hardware and local distributor of the Suprema™ product range, to provide an off-the-shelf time & attendance offering to the market.
Accsys PeopleTime software is fully compatible with SupreMOBILE and together offers effective remote people management. The SupreMOBILE is designed as a robust portable biometric clock that enables fingerprint identification in a mobile environment
The device is compact, waterproof, dustproof, requires no extensive integration or complicated cabling or connectivity and is targeted at industries operating within rugged environments, such as construction and companies with remote stores or depots. This includes farms, distributed staff and centralised processing.
As a clocking solution the SupreMOBILE can store up to 50,000 clockings and the information of thousands of employees. The solution uses a Lithium-ion battery which ensures up to 16 hours of uptime after a single charge.
The product’s functionality as a reliable, portable solution is extended by the fact that it can be immediately integrated into a company’s network and used to automatically update records and payroll systems.
Another key differential aspect of the technology is XPass. This feature allows for the integration of both biometric and non-biometric access. This is something investors may consider in terms of the acquisition of a hybrid solution, which still runs off Accsys PeopleTime.
Teryl Schroenn, CEO at Accsys, said that the company’s software is fully integrated into Suprema™ clocks and this eliminates the need to manage visible interfaces and perform updates.
“Our relationship with neaMetrics is strong. We make use of their access schedules to load complex rules of when/where employees may go, into the Suprema devices. That way, even in multinational corporations, access can be controlled over a simple internet connection. We believe this development will add real value to the market we continue to influence and operate in. This is an exciting breakthrough that complements our existing offering,” says Schroenn.
“To the best of our knowledge, this compact portable biometric terminal is the smallest and lightest mobile time and attendance hardware and offers slick design. It allows you to manage your employees where they could not be managed before,” explains Walter Rautenbach, Managing Director at neaMetrics.
Management from both companies believe that whilst the offering can be easily integrated and extended within the enterprise, it will continue to attract the attention of emerging businesses as they seek to acquire and implement cost effective HR management solutions without incurring any additional costs.
This prediction is based on the advantages of the design and functionality that the solution encompasses say its developers.
The combination of powerful hardware and software is said to provide clients with a solution that is easily accessible, is based on hassle-free installation and offers the advantage of cost-effective payroll and time functionality to both enterprises and small-to-medium organisations.
