Accsys, a national supplier of management solutions within HR, payroll administration, time & attendance and access control, has been recognised amongst the top companies within three categories at the 9th annual African Access National Business Awards.
The Sandton-based company was singled out as a finalist in the Business Education & Training and Innovation through Technology award categories at the Awards ceremony, which took place recently at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.
Accsys’ CEO, Teryl Schroenn, was also a finalist in the category Top Performing Businesswoman of the Year.
The event, hosted in conjunction with Top Performing Companies, is widely touted as the ‘Oscars’ of South African business. It serves to recognise and honour top performers across various industries and sectors that make up the local commercial landscape.
Nominees were evaluated based on detailed written entries that covered key areas of a company’s development, including people (employees, society), planet (environmental impact) and Profit (turnover, profitability, growth).
Accsys is currently in its 30th year of operation and continues to serve a growing market.
It is a market that is dominated by the increasingly significant role played by HR management, innovation and system development in commerce.
The company’s position as a trusted advisor, developer and integrator of next generation management solutions continues to meet a demand from decision makers for better control over resource development, application and management.
Accsys has also raised its profile with its established recruitment division, Accsys PeoplePlace, its eLearning and internship programme, as well as its contribution to cloud-based HR service and support (Accsys Cumulus).
Schroenn says the company is very proud of the accolade received, as well as her own recognition.
She believes the company’s standing amongst the top performing business entities inspires the personnel to build on the success and helps to create a positive working environment.
“Our vision is to establish the company as the premier provider of innovative people management solutions, service and support across Africa. Recognition at this level means a great deal and adds impetus to our ongoing effort to achieve this vision,” says Schroenn.
